	This is to approve a grant of α$5,000 for your workshop
on expert systems that combine numerical computation with heuristic
reasoning.  You should make detailed arrangements with  Claudia
Mazzetti of the AAAI office.

	I suggest an early announcement in AI Magazine of the workshop
and a request that potential participants communicate with you.
Other announcements should be made in relevant journals.
